The Ethiopian community is missing an overview of all the opportunities that Cardano blockchain offers
We create Amharic audio content for the people in Ethiopia, explaining Cardano blockchain
Background
One of the most influential projects globally, one of Cardano's flagship projects, is to be done with Ethiopia. But how many people know about the concept? How many are ready to start adapting to the new emerging technology in their country? How many are likely to read and prepare to be early adaptors? These questions are the major factors that brought me to propose this idea.
I host weekly open discussion nights on the clubhouse to answer as many questions as possible regarding different topics, mainly focusing on Cardano and the blockchain system. The Clubhouse discussion initially was focused on activating the Cardano community in Ethiopia. Still, after a while, the demand increased as people requested audio content to be released after the weekly sessions because I invited different expertise to share their experience and knowledge with the audience in the local language to be understood by as many individuals as possible.
Finding quality content to guide you to understand the entire blockchain system and Cardano is hard for individuals new to this environment, let alone finding content in their local language. From my experience and different small local studies, it is shown that the majority of the community in Ethiopia has better chances of accessing audio and video content than storming into websites or books to get information. So this idea is to serve the Ethiopian community in providing reliable resources in their language.
Impact
Recent studies show that only 0.22% of the Ethiopian population can communicate and understand English well. This leaves us with the majority of the population missing out on opportunities gained from adapting the Cardano blockchain system, primarily due to the language barrier.
This idea has a significant impact in terms of providing people quality educational, advisory, guiding, and supporting audio content which they can hear at any time and also a chance for the audience to be part of the podcast in directly engaging with the weekly open discussion by asking their questions to the guest and scholars.
Solution
The audio content could serve the population In numerous ways, but we would like to focus on the top three listed below to have better focus points.
- keeping citizens aware of general basic blockchain solutions.
- Gives them the platform to be ready for the change.
- Strengthens the blockchain community through podcasts.
General Goal
The general goal of this idea is to provide quality content for the community in Ethiopia with their language so everyone can understand the basic concepts and get familiarized themselves. When the time is ready, and all the fascinating projects emerge, I hope to see more individuals who understand and quickly adapt and engage in the community.
